In the fall of 2008, The Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work (NAHIPSW) sponsored a Voter Registration contest. All students in field placements were eligible to enter. The individual student who registered the most voters received a $100 gas gift card. Three honorable mention prizes were awarded as well and these three students also each received a $25 gas gift card. Also, the concentration that achieved the highest participation rate per capita of students will be treated to a pizza party at a local restaurant.

The individual who registered the most voters was Peg Ragaini, a Community Organization student with a total of 82 new voters.
